At Sladefield, we take Safeguarding very seriously - in fact, it is our number 1 priority.
We recognise that sometimes you may need to send someone to collect your child for whom we have not had your authority and therefore, on that day, you must call the school in good time to let us know who will be coming and give us details of their name and relationship to your child. Teachers will then be informed that it is okay to send your child home with that person. If we have not been informed about who is going to collect your child, staff will not hand over the child; instead, they will be taken to the School Office and you will be contacted to confirm who has been allocated to collect your child.
Older siblings can collect their younger sibling if they are over the age of 16. However, if a parent/carer gives consent for a sibling between the ages of 14 and 16 to collect their Sladefield child, this will be adhered to as long as the parent/carer completes an agreement form that can be collected from the School Office.
