To support our robust safeguarding practices and procedures at Sladefield Infant School, we are supported by the Local Authority in providing overarching guidance, advice and training.
Birmingham Safeguarding Children Partnership provides DSLs and school practitioners with a range of support and guidance when dealing with a safeguarding concern.Â
As a school, we are also expected to utilise the 'Right Help, Right Time' support document for practitioners in order to establish the level of support required based on the needs of the individual. A copy of the most recent guidance is attached below.Â
Birmingham Children's Trust also offer a great amount of support and guidance to DSLs, practitioners and parents/carers; here you can find out how to request additional support if you need it, and consider whether an Early Help assessment or a Family Support referral might be beneficial.
If you suspect or believe that a child is suffering or is likely to suffer significant harm or any form of mistreatment or abuse, you should report your concerns immediately to the Children’s Advice and Support Service (CASS), who provide a single point of contact for professionals and members of the public who want to raise concerns about a child - 0121 303 1888 or visit this website.Â
